| Beirut on Ice |
If you don’t want to go skiing, you can go ice-skating. It’s
a mighty small rink, and only there a couple of months a year on the top floor
of a shopping mall, but for children living in a region that is known for its
deserts rather than its winter sceneries, it is a lot of fun.
I took my daughter and her friend for what I thought would
be maybe an hour of fun. Two hours later I had to pull them off the ice.

In absolute awe of those with some more talent. As much as
she hates skiing, she loves skating
