Natural Stone Bridge
I am suffering from ‘Lazy Blogger’s Syndrome.” Or maybe it is 'Lebanese Ostrich Approach'. Nothing is more simple than uploading pictures. This one was taken between Kfardebian and Feraya, some 50 km NE above Beirut. Here is some back ground information on this natural bridge (from an actual Natural Arch and Bridge Society) .

Remember how Angry Arab went through a phase of posting beautiful 19th and early 20th century European oil paintings? Then he posted a series of Persian miniatures IIRC.
I sometimes post recipes when it all gets too depressing. As you know my blog subtitle is "An Arab-American Woman Sees Signs of Hope." I have an informal tag I add to that:
"When there's no hope, you can always make dinner."
However the week I added that to my blog header, all hell broke loose. It was either metastatic cancer for me, or some new horror in Lebanon/Palestine, (or both - I can't remember exactly, but it was a terrible week). I decided that I didn't want to have a mantra of hopelessness up next to my picture for the world to focus on. So I took it off. Even though I think it's funny.
Keep up with the beautiful pictures. Peace and serenity manage to remain no matter what insanity individual and groups of humans stir up.

Sietske. do not apologise for posting such beautiful pictures. I know that bridge well and know a wonderful outdoor restaurant under a waterfall (only open in summer) not far from there. I used to live in Lebanon and loved it so much that I return every year. You have inspired me to return now and enjoy the snow! Keep up the brilliant blog.
I can't beleive there's a "Natural Arch and Bridge Society". People have waaaay to much time on their hands.
