I had seen this slogan all over the summer while back home. ‘Keep
Calm and Carry On.’
They came in all kind of varieties. ‘Keep Calm and Keep
Shopping’ on shop windows, ‘Keep Calm
and Get a Dog’ at the entrance of the dog pound, and ‘Keep Calm and Grow a
Moustache’ on the T-shirt of my daughter.
Only last week I learned about the origins of the ‘Keep Calm and Carry On ‘slogan. And then
yesterday I saw the first Lebanese version of it, on the stairs of St.
Nicholas. The Arabic reads is ‘Roueh Sway’, which stands for ‘take it easy’(if
I am correct).
Although now that I look at it, the last part is actually Arabic in Latin script.
Nice one.

lugging a wheelchair up a flight of steps is definitely not calming
Hahahaha, yes, you're right. Not an easy task. They had to go only that one flight of stairs, in case anyone was wondering how they are going to make it to the top. But even at that, this is not a country that caters to the lesser enabled, I am afraid.
I guess Lebanon is handicapped accessible...with a little help from your friends or maybe some strangers.
