Window on Wednesday IV

So what is it with this passion for windows (and doors, I might add)? Flickr has entire pools for it, and here’s another Beirut blogger, Ginger, who’s got an infatuation with the Beirut windows and doors. (it’s under photos)

I wonder who lives behind this lime window. An old lady, who's family emigrated to latin America years and years ago, she has grey hair pulled away from her face in a black hair band, her eyes are so old their color turned blue, she has a black dress on, and a pair of white socks to keep her feet warm in this hot summer. She's sitting there with a piece of bread, a plate of olives and a slice of cucumber... maybe she felt asleep right beside this window... dreaming of the beautiful day, when she has just painted the window in this particular lime color two weeks before her child was born… or maybe two weeks before the war exploded... it looks old, it is very old, it has survived a lifetime, but yet this lime color is still so bright.
Again, another lovely window.
I wonder what will be your next theme, after those windows?
