. . . you're into fusion and you're in Beirut, check out this guy, Ryo Kawasaki. He's still playing Sunday (in Eight, downtown), Monday and Tuesday (in Bar Louie, Gemayze). For more information, call 70 990198.
I've been following your blog quite a bit. Lebanon seems like a wonderful place. I'm planning a trip there in the middle of July. What's your take on the security situation? Has their been violence in the past after parliamentary elections? I'm not sure if I should postpone my trip or no. Thanks for your help.
Dear Cl Smoove, Would I cancel? I would not, but that depends a bit on what kind of a traveler you are. Anything might happen in this place, be it for the better or for the worst with the drop of a hat. If you do not have a lot of holidays in a year, and this is the only one, I’d cancel and go somewhere else. If you do plenty of travel, then come, and go with the flow. They may block parts of the country, but the rest is always open, and there is plenty to see. Sietske
thanks for responding. I have gathered a lot of opinions and decided to book my flight. I have done a fair amount of traveling but never to the Middle East. I'm looking forward to my experience there.
Great to hear that. Now if you do get in a pickle while here, just mail me (galama at cyberia dot net dot lb), and we'll rescue you. It 'll make a good blog post too! Sietske
